FLIGHT SUBSIDY:

Buyer delegates will be responsible for booking their own flights to and from Tasmania to attend MP26. To assist with travel costs, Tourism Tasmania

  • Will offer a standard flight subsidy of up to $400 (excluding GST) per buyer delegate.
  • May, at its discretion, approve a higher amount where the Buyer has taken reasonable steps to minimise flight costs and the actual fare reasonably exceeds $400 (excluding GST).
  • Will reimburse buyers within 21 days of the conclusion of MP26, supported by relevant receipts/invoices regarding airfares.

Please do not book your flights yet!

ATEC and/or Tourism Tasmania will contact all registered buyer delegates once registrations close to confirm:

  • Famil attendance (if you nominate to participate in one)
  • Itinerary information including dates and locations
  • Step-by-step instructions on how to access the subsidy.

Once this information is provided, buyers are expected to book flights at the earliest opportunity to minimise flight costs. We appreciate your patience as we coordinate these arrangements.

FAMIL PROGRAM:

Tourism Tasmania is pleased to offer buyer delegates attending MP26 the opportunity to register their interest in joining their Famil Program (pre or post famils).

Designed to immerse you in uniquely Tasmanian experiences, these itineraries move through the island's four main regions, taking in the food and beverages, nature, adventure, history and culture and wildlife that make Tasmania a compelling destination. Please click here for more details.

  • Pre-famils return to Hobart on the 25 October, in time for the official event program to commence on Monday 26 October.
  • Post-famils depart after the event concludes on Wednesday 28 October.
  • Both programs offer a mix of trade ready product across Tasmania's regions, with experiences that span a range of themes and travel styles.
  • During the registration process, buyers will be invited to indicate whether they would like to be considered for one of the famils and rank their preferences accordingly.
  • Places are very limited and selection is at the discretion of Tourism Tasmania.
  • Tourism Tasmania will contact buyers after registrations close to confirm next steps and provide further itinerary details to assist with travel planning, including the requirement to arrange their own flights.

B2B MEETINGS:

  • Both Primary and Additional Buyers will have their own meeting schedule throughout the MP26 B2B program.
  • Buyers will participate in all three sessions of the B2B meetings (Sessions A, B and C) enabling them to receive up to 60 meetings total. Please note the final number of meetings you ultimately receive via the system generated appointment schedule cannot be guaranteed and is subject to change.
  • The B2B meetings will be approximately 10 minutes in length plus a 1-minute change over.
  • Cancellations will not be accepted if you are not satisfied with your meeting schedule, for example, if you receive less meetings than anticipated or the quality of your meetings falls below your expectations.
  • Click here for more information about the B2B program.

ACCOMMODATION, TRANSFERS & OTHER EXPENSES:

  • Accommodation inclusive of daily breakfast is provided for four nights (check in: Sunday 25 October, check out: Thursday 29 October 2026).
  • All buyer delegates are required to facilitate their own airport transfers (unless associated with a famil). Some transfers may be provided throughout the event if required to facilitate MP26 program elements.
  • If you choose to extend your stay outside of the official event dates for personal reasons, additional accommodation and travel expenses will need to be independently coordinated at your own expense.
  • We recommend ensuring you have travel insurance (at your own cost).

What did our MP25 buyers have to say?.

"ATEC MP25 showcased what is best about WA - amazing scenery, food and activities. The value in being able to connect with key partners combined with new offerings makes the commercial side critical for our ongoing success. In particular being in WA, the opportunity to meet with unique WA tourism operators who would not have necessarily travelled to the East Coast for an event, highlights to me a key benefit of moving MP around the country.

"This was my first time attending MP25, and it was a really valuable experience. I was impressed by the range of sessions and the opportunity to hear directly from experts in the field. It was great to connect with colleagues from different areas and exchange ideas about current challenges and innovations.
