Tourism has been part of Tasmania's story for well over a century. It is woven into how our communities live and work, how our regions prosper, and how the world comes to understand what makes this island so distinctive. It is something all Tasmanians take pride in.
In Tasmania, tourism supports 1 in 6 jobs and provides as strong contribution to the state’s economy.
Strong forecast visitor growth to 2030 underlines strong public and private sector investment, including the new Spirit of Tasmania ferries, the Launceston Convention Centre and the Next Iconic Walk.
Our two major airports in Hobart and Launceston are also investing in significant upgrades to support this growth.
Hosting the 2026 ATEC Meeting Place is a great opportunity for us to showcase all that our destination offers. Our world-class tourism experiences will be on display to you as global buyers and in turn, to international travellers.
